Applications

• Maps and Directories. The most common wayfinding kiosk, maps and building directories, remain the front lines of helping people find their way through public buildings, outdoor campuses, city streets, hospitals, shopping malls, tourist and recreational areas, and downtown skyscrapers, among many others.

• Transit Directions. For more complex transit needs and applications, a wayfinding kiosk can also act as a triaging device that allows the general public to chart the best path and mode of transportation to get from point A to point B.

• Tracking Merchandise. Retailers worry about losing out on add-on and impulse buys, but there are also untold numbers of times in which a store has the item in question and a consumer gives up before he or she has found it.
